Training Off Syndrome (Off Feed)Collovet medium horse and camel head training off collovet

Given that the heart, lungs, and limbs are sound
“TRAINING OFF” is likely to be caused by:

1.    Wrong training methods – see Stress and Recovery time
2.    Incorrect nutrition
3.    Use of Corticosteroid Injections etc.
4.    Imbalances of Minerals and Electrolytes in Diet.
The latest research has shown that quicker responses
to demands and shorter periods required for recovery
after exertion are influenced by Dietary Electrolyte Balance.
5.    More often than not:
             Serum sodium falls
             Serum Potassium rises (sometimes falls)
             Serum Chlorides fall
             Serum bicarbonates- falls or rises

By including THERADIET in the diet, the objective is to remove those factors due to bad nutrition and mineral and electrolyte imbalance which predispose an animal to  ‘TRAINING OFF” and antagonises proper conditioning.

Which results in:

Lower levels of fitness for shorter periods of time and less potential for peak performance during the training period.
Muscles develop at about 5% per week i.e. about 12-20 weeks to bring a horse up.
